Candidate for councilmember of the 22nd District, Tony Meloni was the focus of a dinner held at Da Franco Restaurant in support of his campaign.
The March 5 event in Astoria, featured many notable business owners and civic leaders including Councilmember Peter Vallone Jr. as well as the evening’s hosts Joseph and Anthony Pistilli.
“We are here to say that Antonio Meloni is the clear choice for our community,” said Joseph Pistilli.
Meloni, a Queens College graduate, who holds a degree in urban studies, has been the executive director of Immigration Advocacy Services on Steinway Street since 1988 and worked at Victim Services Agency, which helps victims of domestic violence.
Meloni, who founded a crime-prevention group 12 years ago and has organized self-defense courses, hopes to help increase public safety.
